Love your site! I would be very interested in your take on Nutrisystems (NTRI). Stock is down over 40% from its intraday high in early Dec. and almost 25% from Jan. 30 when the market reacted to disappointing preannouncement earnings release with a massive sell-off. This stock appears to have been a victim not only of panic selling but naked short selling and a strategic failure to deliver shares employed by hedge funds as evidenced by its large short interest and a float substantially in excess of outstanding shares. Price and volume behavior from the past couple of days suggests that the selling has abated and the stock appears to be in a position to rapidly appreciate given its fundamentals and the fact that substantial short covering will have to occur. Thoughts?

Nice site, easy to navigate.
Although I am interested in quite a few stocks, the one I would like evaluated is Southern Copper Corporation (PCU). I bought this about 6 months ago and have had great returns, but was wondering if it's time to take some profits. Any outlook on prices of copper and other metals in the coming year?

I am interested in Cameco Corp, symbol CCJ. Being Canadian I am interested in Canadian companies. This uranium company has had some recent trouble with a flooding mine, yet still seems to have recovered. Also, it owns large portions of Gold companies. I want to know your thoughts on the Uranium industry as a whole, and more specifically, Cameco.

I purchased the stock SumTotal Systems (SUMT) at $6. Today it trades at about $7.50. Do you see anymore upside in the near future or would you recommend exiting the position?
Posted by: Randy Johnson | February 8, 2007 09:17 PM
Regarding SumTotal Systems, our view is the upside is limited at this point given the 52 week high is $8 per share. The stock is down a little today, likely some profit taking. When trying to decide whether to let it ride or exit, we would suggest comparing your stock appreciation with your goal. Normally when we enter a stock such as this, we would set a target price so we can make the decision at ease. Good Luck, Randy.

Hello Joe, we just posted our thoughts on Sprint Nextel (S).
Posted by: ibooyah | February 8, 2007 10:14 PM
I am mainly interested in two companies UAUA and WU.
UAUA is currently down 10% from 52 wk high. And WU just stared six months back. Have been looking to get into it but am not sure if it is a long term or a short term stock.
Thanks.

I would like to hear your opinion of Viropharma (VPHM), a small pharma company beaten down last year but seems to have recuperated well since then with good news about it's future pipeline.

All, thank you for your comments, we will post our opinions on these stocks in the coming weeks.

Hi, I was interested in your opinion on 3 stocks.
WDC seems to be in the dog house of late and can't understand why as HD spending should be up with the release of Vista and their growth in the DTC division with the MyBook brands. Curious your long term outlook.
Same with ERTS. Is in-game advertising priced into this stock yet? This will be a multi-billion dollar industry in 3 - 4 years time, so it is a long play, but if the ad spending is already priced in, then it does not have wiggle room. Publishers stand to get 40 - 50% of these revenues with very little expenses, so it should go to the bottom line.
Lastly, Intel. It has been beaten down very badly. I understand there is a huge competitive marketplace, but they are by far the best in breed now. Long term potential? 2008 and 2009 call options are really cheap looking for very little growth in price.
Thanks in advance. Great site!

Hi. Thanks for the great evaluations. I am a new investor and I'm learning a lot from this site.
I would like to get an idea on Direct TV (DTV). I bought some of this stock as it looks to be on the rise. Howevever, for the long term, would Comcast be a better choice?
Posted by: Seth | February 18, 2007 11:23 AM
Thank you for your comments, Seth. Direct TV is certainly an interesting company. We will definitely look into it and post our evaluation in the next few days. For Comcast, you might read http://ibooyah.com/blog/2007/02/trading_time_warner_for_comcas.html
